Meet Sarah & Mark
Well we first met on our very first day at Catering College in Nottingham and have been working together in the catering industry ever since. We fell in love with Italy and especially the stunning Marche region, where we were very lucky to find "The Hideaway" in 2001.
We both immediately knew it was the place we wanted to be as soon as we set eyes on the two derelict farm buildings and have been restoring our traditional Italian farmhouse ever since. Where ever possible, the original materials have been cleaned up & used again - keeping the building as close as it was 300 years ago.
We love growing fruit & veggies in our garden & living as healthy as possible, whilst loving our stunning, peaceful surroundings.
We would like to share our little piece of Italy with you & we invite you to experience all the things we love about this traditional land. If we can be of any assistance, especially with property buying, restorantion or builders (as we have been through it all before) then please do not hesitate to contact us. We live on site, so are on hand for our guests if need be
Meet Maya
Our little rescue Border Collie from Sicily came to live with us four years ago after a year on the streets in Alcamo. She’s such a good, sweet girl, she never barks and loves meeting our guests. Maya may be a little shy at first but she soon comes out of her shell to welcome our Hideaway visitors!
