Before Your Arrival

As the world reopens for travel, obviously you may be a little concerned about journey here and your holiday accommodation. Being totally committed to your health and safety and to help you feel at ease while staying at The Hideaway, we have a document which lists our comprehensive cleaning and disinfecting guidelines. We follow this in addition to our usual high standards of cleanliness and will gladly show you if you would like to know more. We have also produced this guide to help you in these unusual times.

Your Journey

If you are travelling by car, please follow your countries guildelines. As from 18th May, no documents are needed to prove where you are travelling to whilst you are within Italy, but they may be required in countries that you are passing through.

Fuel - whilst at petrol stations, you will be required to wear gloves and a mask and preferably use a credit or debit card.

Motorway service stations - whilst these may be open for food and drinks, only a certain number of people will be allowed in at any one time and social distancing must be observed, so it may be quicker and easier for you to bring your own refreshments for your journey.

Checking In

We will always check-in and check-out guests implementing social distancing and wearing the correct protective clothing.

You keys will be sanitized before your arrival.

Guest Registration

For our guests registration, usually we ask to take your passport or identity card details but now, for your peace of mind, we will not take any documents, however ask you to email or whatsapp us a photo of each guests details. This will only be used for the registration purposes and then deleted.

During Your Stay

We prefer you to bring your own personal PPE but we will have masks and gloves available if required

We encouraging our guests to self-monitor for symptoms and to let us know if you need any advice from local authorities or medical assistance

We have  guidelines for our shared/public areas which we expect you to comply with and thank you for your cooperation

Shared/ Public Areas

You will be allocated sun loungers and a dining table and chairs for your apartment and we ask you to make sure you use only these

They will be spaced out according to our local guidelines

We ask you to please shower before entering the pool

When using any shared areas of the garden, please use the hand sanitiser provided. This includes entering and exiting the pool and use of BBQ

Please wipe the handrail for the pool with your allocated cloth and disinfectant, once you exit. Also the bbq handles

Your Apartment

Please make sure you leave any shoes outside your apartment

If you need to use the washing machine, please let us know and we will make sure it is sanitizer before and after use

It is perfectly safe to drink tap water, thanks to treatment processes that remove viruses, environmental conditions that compromise virus vitality (temperature, sunlight, high pH levels) and the final disinfection step

There will be cleaning materials, sanitizer and disinfectant provided for you to use if required

All cutlery, glassware, crockery and cooking utensils will be throughly washed in hot soapy water prior to your arrival. Whilst we will do this again before the next guests, we ask you to do all washing up prior to your arrival and leave everything as you found it on your arrival. Many thanks

Whilst wanting to be available to assist you with any queries you may have during your holiday, we will maintain our distance and wear masks when near. We will be available by WhatsApp on 0039 346 9698482 at all times. So if you need anything or have any questions, just message us first.

Your Health - You wellbeing is very important to us

Please make sure you wash your hands for at least 20 seconds in hot water using soap when returning from shopping or restaurants or have been out and about

We ask you to monitor your own health regularly. It is forbidden for anyone with a respiratory infection characterized by fever (higher than 37.5° C) to leave their  place of residence. You are required to immediately contact a doctor so if you do find yourselves in this situation and require assistance, please message us.

If you have flu symptoms or think you might be at risk of infection, stay in your apartment, do not go to the emergency room or the doctor's surgery but we will call our doctor, paediatrician or the ‘guardia medica’ (out-of-hours primary care service in Amandola available from 20.00 to 08.00). Alternatively, call our regional information hotline on 800 93 66 77

There is also a dedicated emergency hotline for the Ministry of Health available on 1500

Psychological support is also available free toll number 800.833.833, active every day from 8AM to midnight.

More than 2 thousand specialized professionals will answer on the phone, or online, to requests for help. The service is safe and free of charge. The free number can also be reached from abroad at 0039 02 20228733

Out and About

You will probably be used to the regulations at home by now, but here in Italy, this is how we do it!

When you go shopping you are required to wear a face mask and gloves at all times in any shop

You will need your own mask and gloves but gloves are usually provided at the entrance to the supermarket

You will be asked to queue outside the shop (whilst keeping 2 meters apart from anyone else) and when one person leaves, you will be allowed to enter. Sometimes shop assistants will tell you, other times it’s up to you to notice when someone leaves the shop!

Italians don’t always queue in straight lines! So when you arrive at the shop you can always ask “chi è l'ultimo” - who is the last, so you know exactly who you are entering the shop after

It is important to keep 2 meters apart at all times whilst inside the shop. Yellow lines should be in place on the floor at the checkout, to show you where to queue

Its preferable to pay by credit or debit card rather than by cash

Please dispose of any disposable gloves in the bins provided in the supermarket

Markets are open but it is essential that you wear a mask and keep 2 meters apart from any other people

Restaurants

Bookings must be made for restaurants and we can assist you with this if needed

You will need to wear a mask when entering and leaving a restaurant or cafe

Tables will be spaced out according to local regulations

There will be hand sanitizer available

Credit or debit cards are the preferred method of payment

Exercise

You are allowed to cycle or run or take exercise now but must maintain social distancing at all times when in public places

Parks will be open but again masks must be worn and social distancing must be observed

At The Beach

Sun loungers will be 4 meters apart on the concessions at the beach and these can be pre-booked

Free public beaches will be open but rules vary depending on which beach you go to. Many of the beaches to the north of Le Marche need to be booked via an app. Some by telephone. Most of our local public beaches such as Marina Di Campofilloni, don't need reservations and are leaving it up to the individual family to be sensible about social distancing but will be monitored by police

Umbrella and towels or sun loungers must be at least 4 meters apart from the next family

Masks will be required when entering the sea and you must be 4 meters apart from other families

Museums

Museums are opening once again. Some may require reservations so if you are unsure or need assistance, again just let us know
